How are Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) and Charlie McCarthy alike?
The answer seems obvious, doesn’t it? They’re both dummies!
But the truth is that there seem to be many more similarities. First, AOC and Charlie are both actors. But more importantly, both have someone else pulling their strings. And it doesn’t stop there. Both are saying words that someone else wrote for them, and their thoughts are the thoughts of the people controlling them.

Who is Charlie McCarthy
Charlie McCarthy is a top hat and monocle wearing ventriloquist dummy who now resides in the Smithsonian Institution. As the most popular ventriloquist dummy character created by Edgar Bergan, he was a major star of radio and movies from the 1930’s through the 1970’s.
