Gregg Jarrett on Fox News likened Adam Schiff to Bozo the Clown.
While I strongly support most of Jarrett’s viewpoints, I disagree with him on this one.
As a kid, yes, many years ago, I was one of the children in the audience on the local Bozo Show, a program that had a real live actor playing the clown, with others supporting him as they entertained us with games and various antics between animated features. Bozo, despite being a clown in five minute cartoon episodes, was genuine, honest, fun, and funny. He and young partner Butchie Boy were fine people who moved around on a motorized scooter helping all in need. They would never lie, deceive, or harm.
Adam Schiff is certainly not funny, honest, kind, or delightful in any way. Although, I would argue that Schiff might be perceived as entertaining to those who enjoy watching someone who thinks he’s brilliant, but is actually a buffoon. It sounds like a plot for an Adam Sandler movie. However, no matter how much of a dolt the actor might play, he would wind up being loved and the hero. For Adam Schiff, there’s no Adam Sandler happy ending.
When comparing Schiff to Bozo, Gregg Jarrett was trying to make the point that the very serious and dangerous actions taken by the congressman are laughable. However, I feel no compulsion to laugh. I’m actually sickened.
Let me suggest, instead, that Adam Schiff is like a pencil-necked, untalented, mean-spirited, and stupid ringmaster Yes, he’s running the impeachment circus which starts today. He’s totally in control, but he’s not aware that his transparent actions show his deceit and stupidity. In fact, the Democrats in congress seem to be blind to what is apparent to everyone else.
I hope you watch the Greg Gutfeld Show on Fox News on Saturday nights. If so, you’ve probably seen comedian Tom Shillue in his parody of Adam Schiff. It makes me feel as if I’m watching the real congressman.
Here are some examples of Shillue being more genuine than the real guy:
There are lots more videos. Just do a search on YouTube.
However, as you watch the impeachment, I bet you’ll be reminded of these parodies.
How fitting.
